On the 1st of January, I took more than one picture, so I had to choose (or: could choose) which one to show. But now, we’re really going to take the Photo-a-day seriously. For about the coming two weeks, there’s only one photo a day. I took only one picture on January 2, so that’s the one I’m showing here. No choice. And yes, I moved, and a Rollei 35 does not have an IS lens. But it’s the only picture of that day. So it’s my only option. It’s easy.
Biking home from work, catching the last of sunlight, although the sun is already behind the horizon.

No, I think it’s good… the motion blur is really imperceptible, and frankly a lot less so than if I would have tried to do a handheld shot at 1/4 of a second! 🙂
I notice now how things are getting easier. Early January was really a difficult time to take a photograph on the way to or from work, with little daylight.
On the other hand, as it becomes easier due to longer daylight, it’s easier to think “I’ll take my daily photo later”, and before you know it, it’s dark again. :-/
Oh, do I know where you are coming from! You don’t know how many of my Photo a Day’s were done in my place, at the end of the day, with me scrambling to figure out what to shoot!
I notice that is happing more often now, yes… Taking the camera with me in the morning, bringing it back home in the evening, still unused, then just taking “some” picture at home. Why do I bother taking it with me the whole day…?
I guess this will change when I take the bike to work again.
