Photo-a-day: January 10 2012

Early morning, on my way to work by bike, it all came together. Of course I had seen the lonely house before, it has often attracted my photographic attention (although I had never yet taken a photo of it). But now there was the house, the moon, the low fog over the land; a complete picture.

Of the Photo-a-day shots up till now, this is one that I’m quite happy with.

As you should be “quite happy with”, it’s a very nice, tranquil image, Jacco… good job!

Thanks, Jeff. Not only did your comment put a smile on my face, it also made me laugh. A smile because I’m glad you like it. A laugh because your comment makes me realise that I’m (sometimes) (just a tiny bit) too modest (every now and then) (maybe). Okay, I’m not “quite happy with it”, I like it!

I do not spoil the smile on faces, but isn’t it also at least a bit boring image? And please understand me, I do not want to hurt anybody.

Boring… Well… I’ll opt for the native speaker in this case, and go with tranquil. Sure, there’s not a lot happening, I didn’t move the camera while I took the shot, I didn’t put a filter with shaving foam in front of the lens, there’s no action; if that’s what you’re referring to when you say “boring”, it might be boring. Tranquil, that’s the word! 🙂

Still one of my favourites of my photo-a-day thingy.
