[Nederlandstalige samenvatting onderaan]
Time for a small surprise. As you may or may not know (I do mention it every now and then on this site), I take part in the APUG.org postcard exchange. A few times a year, me and fellow analog photographers spend a few hours or days in their darkroom, creating a stack of postcards (or postcard(ish)-sized prints) that we subsequently send to each other by mail. All over the world.
Sometimes, a card gets lost. For this, I usually print a few spare cards, so that I can re-send a card if necessary.
This time, it means that I have a few cards left over from the previous round of the postcard exchange. And I want to share them. With you. Whoever you are. Wherever you are.
I’ve got four cards to share, all of the print shown above. 10×15 cm (4×6″) silver gelatin prints.
Whether you are a regular visitor or you just stumble upon this site for the very first time; whether you are one of the few who (ir)regularly share their comments, or just a silent onlooker; whether you live in Europe, America, Australia, the near or far East, Africa, or Antarctica… it doesn’t matter.
If you want a card, just add a comment to this post saying so. Don’t post all your details for the world to see, but do add a valid e-mail address in the right field when commenting. It will not be shown on the site, but I will use it to contact you so that I can get a hold of your address information.
What’s the catch? There is no catch. I share these postcards with fellow photographers the whole time (well, three times a year), so why not share a few extra with you? No costs for you (I pay the postage), no strings attached. The only thing I ask is that you please be so kind to notify me in some way (e-mail or comment) when you have received the card. That’s all.
Having said that, I will now share an abbreviated version of this story in Dutch.
[Nederlandse samenvatting]

By the way, it is “a bit” hard to see on the site, but the print has a white border; don’t be surprised; I did mention it here. 😉

Postcard me! I’ll take one, Jacco!
When I get all settled here in my new locale, will have to investigate that postcard exchange thing, I think it’s sounds fun to share with someone around the world. I’ll start with you and send off a homemade postcard of the beautiful mountains that I am now at the foot of! 🙂
And so it begins! I’ll be contacting you shortly, Jeff.
Okay, I know I don’t get many visitors… It’s painfully clear now. Even when I try to give away something, I’m stuck with 3 out of 4 cards. :-/
It’s not too late! Have a card! Don’t be shy!
Kom op, je kunt het. Vraag een kaartje en je krijgt er een.
Of course I would love a card!
I figured I needed to give other visitors a chance first…
But you don’t need to send it, I’ll pick it up some day 🙂
Niels,
that’s one card reserved for you. Pickup or drop-off to be arranged, perhaps combined with a drink. 🙂
I must say I have missed this opportunity, it is now almost four years ago. I guess I have missed many these opportunities in my life. I love to get this postcard exchange and also receive other peoples work in this way.
