“Do you still have your blog?” “Are you still into photography?” “When can we expect an update?”
Just a few of the questions I have heard the last week(s).
So, here’s a sign of life. Yes, I still have my blog, I just haven’t had anything worth showing for some time. But that will change. I’ve joined a new photo class where some interesting and challenging assignments have come our way.
A longer-term assignment is creating a time-lapse movie. “Sorry, I know you prefer analog, but I think you will have to switch to digital for this assignment.” We’ll see about that! Here’s an action shot of my attempts at time-lapse. Just to show you what I’m up to.
The assignment last week was… here’s a table, some cardboard, a few vases and some lamps. Go make some photographs. So… one or more photos of a vase may soon make it to this blog. And there’s probably more to come.
So, rest assured, I’m still here, the blog is still here, and… in time there will be some new black and white (or colour?) photos for you to see.

Again, I thinks it good that you do these classes… sparking you to do and try new things, test your photographic mettle – like trying to make an interesting photo of a table and some vases. 🙂 I have frighteningly become dormant in the photography department, with no shooting for too long now… why I think you taking these classes is a good thing, keeps you shooting, and honing your photographic chops.
I will say, that experimenting in doing time-lapse photography is something that is in the future for me also… been wanting to try doing those for awhile now. I am also fascinated by this new cinemagraph niche, and wanting to play around in and with that also.
All the best to you, Jacco, and look forward to seeing your work!
Jeff, I too had become dormant in the field of photography, and a class like this was exactly what the doctor ordered to trigger me triggering the release button.
