An Impossible shot taken with the incredibly versatile SX-70. After shooting only with “cheap” Polaroid cameras of the 600 range, it is so good to see that you can actually have limited depth of field, autofocus, reflex, no flash Polaroid/Impossible photos. It just takes the right camera to open up these possibilities.

Yeah, the depth of the branches is what makes it a neat shot… Cool, Jacco
Thanks for watching and commenting, Jeff!
Sometimes I wish I could write a whole story to go with just one photo like this. But… it was even hard to come up with a title for this one.

Well as any good austere, aristocratic Photographer would comment, the photographic image itself should alone say and speak for itself without the use of words… if it doesn’t, well sir, then you failed as a Photographer and human being. 😉
With that said, I almost always have a story to share with my photos, and almost take it as a challenge to offer up one for your image here… but, alas, I shall try to hold on to whatever shred of dignity I may have and not do so… I feel this is a real personal growth moment for me 🙂
Which SX-70 do you have (Alpha, Sonar, Original)?
Okay, then it’s Untitled I next time 😉
No, really, maybe when I don’t have a story to share, the photo is not special enough to myself? But you are showing an enormous amount of restraint, in the meantime. Maybe you can do the honour of telling the story of this photo? 🙂
It’s the one with the round bee-hive structure, in other words, none other than the Sonar. Ping! Ping!
Makes me wonder how many other camera manufacturers ever used sonar for autofocus. I guess (but I am not certain) this model was quite ahead of its time? Well. I don’t know. You see, I’m no storyteller…
