New year’s eve

At the oliebollenkraam (doughnut ball shop?). 31st of December, their busiest day of the year. I was taking some pictures there when the dad said to the little girl “look, that man is taking your picture!”. Well, I wasn’t, actually, but I took his remark as an encouragement and took this shot of father and daughter.

    Jacco,

I have few comments, first the top of the picture is not straight so nicer would be to crop it away. The same effect you would get to come closer. I see it also on your previous shot. If you like to take pictures of the people, just come closer. And you know what is nice trick. Set your camera to manual focus. Fix that on 5meters and set aperture so you have DOF about 1 tot 2 meter after and before. And than just walk so close that you will have those 5 m in focus 3-7m. And only shoot. So aperture priority a no focusing. It will help you to get closer to people and also help you to focus on subject more and less on camera.
