Small church

Maybe not a very special composition, but I really wanted to show the nice bokeh and depth of field of my latest (and I guess last, for the next few months) purchase: the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens. I think it’s very nice, shallow depth of field, with a smooth transition to a nice unsharpness. Still, that’s all technique. I feel it should be more about composition and feeling. Maybe next time…

Equipment: Canon EOS30, 50mm f/1.4 lens, orange filter
Film: Ilford FP4+ developed in Ilfotec HC

Jacco, the quality of the lens is really visible here. As you said the unsharp part is very smooth and nice.
And do not be sad about composition I think this one is also very nice in that area. Sharp part of the church pillar is nicely combined with unsharped one. Nice work!

Richo, good to "hear" from you, and thanks for your comment!
