To finish off this “wall” series, the third one. To be totally honest, I don’t remember if it was my intention to have the screw-like object out of focus. But, looking at it now, it does have something to it: the object out of focus, its shadow razor-sharp on the wall. Hmmm, maybe I did plan it to be like that! 🙂

Ah! IMHO, we have a winner in the series here…
Focus discussion aside: Moving the object out of the middle of the picture makes for a much stronger composition, me thinks.
Aha, but if you consider the *shadow* to be the subject, then it is still pretty much in the center… 🙂
hi guys, you know i like more contrast, but in this one same as in previous image I have one more comments. Why jacco you do not crop out those artifacts shadows and other objects not fully belonging in picture?
IN this picture the shadow on the right side is very disturbing.
Richo… yes, the shadow on the right, I considered cropping that, but I decided not to: I decided to show the photo as I took it, full frame. It's a choice… 😉
Yes it is choice, but feels quite not right. Your choice I mean. It is disturbing, it doesn't bring anything to image. So it has to go.
Do you remember somebody said, photography is about removing, photograph is perfect when there is nothing more to be removed without losing it.
