It used to be a very busy few months every year, when the sugar beets were taken off the land and were brought to the factory. Truckloads full, 24 hours per day. The factory like a roaring beast that came to life for those few months. A typical smell. Sound. Movement.
Now, the factory is closed. Soon, it will be torn down. A few more years and some totally boring office will take its place. We are slowly losing our industrial landscape. It’s a shame…
