Believe it or not: I never noticed the nice patterns of the shopping mall before. Not until the time that I was there with a camera. Then I saw this. Makes me wonder… Did I see it because I had brought a camera…?
I used this image as one of the two images sent out in the APUG Postcard Exchange round 12.

I had a shoot with a client a few years back, where I waited for her in a mall, and ended up taking a couple pictures that are still on my site… surprised me, you'd never think a mall itself having anything interesting that would lead one to shoot anything… I guess one just never really pays that much attention too much while in one to notice… just shop and get out!
I did end up getting in trouble for doing so from mall security, security even sending out like a mall manager or something, telling me that no one is allowed to photograph, which I found ridiculous and funny… Why?! It's a mall! But, I think their reply was something along the lines that it was private property, and fear of people scoping the place out to like rob it or something… I just shook my head at them and complied and went and waited for my client. Whatever.
Jeff, it seems to be the same thing all over the world. It wasn't until a few weeks after I took these pictures that I noticed a pictogram at the entrance of the shopping mall: a camera with a red X through it. Well, it didn't look like my camera at all, so I guess it was OK for me to take pictures 🙂
