Mirror, mirror…

My fellow photographers working digital have all posted their pictures ages ago.
I’m just starting to post photos of redheadday 2010 (roodharigendag 2010).
This is the last year I could shoot Kodachrome, so I did. It is usually a great film for those red tones.
I hope you like what you’re going to see the coming updates.

Bessa R3M, Leica 90 mm lens, Kodachrome 64.

You're off to a good start!
This picture has a strange vibe to it, on a certain level it almost feels "photoshopped" (the mirror!), while the light adds a great touch of fairytale…

    Hmmmm!

Thanks for your comment, Niels. I know I don't need to assure you (but I'll do it anyway): no serious photoshopping here. It would be beyond my skills anyway.

I'm glad you mention the fairytale light. I was a bit concerned that the shot might seem too dark, too shadow-y. But fairytale light sounds positive. 😉

I always notice this event only from your images and I am so jealous aftewrds. Next time let me know in advance please.
Back to this image. I like it because it is not nice only due to nice girl. Nice job, but, if imay comment to whole photoshoping topic, you miss quite big amount of possibilities when not doing it. In years I noticed that bad picture stays bad no photoshoping helps. Good image is good because it also has potential in this area to become stronger.

Anyway looking forward to all red-haired girls. Greetings from use to be red Moscow.

Richo, thanks for commenting. Used to be red Moscow? I'm not sure I understand. Actually, I'm sure I don't understand.

Here's the first reminder for the next time: Sunday, September 4, 2011. Write it down now (I will remind you again, don't worry).

I see your point about photoshop (or PWP, which I use). Maybe I should try a bit more than just the minor adjustments that I do now, experiment a bit. Still, I don't want to do anything that's *too* "strange".
