…aaaand we’re back! We apologise for the silence.
Skipping a few subjects I have shot between the last post and now, I move on to a favourite subject, recurring yearly. Redhead day.
The first one without Kodachrome, but I must say that I’m quite happy with the results of Fuji Astia. It seems that this film is available “while stock lasts”, so next year I might have to use yet another type of film.
Anyhow. It was once more a great day, redheadday 2011.
I’ve learnt that focussing both the Leica 90mm and the Voigtlaender 40mm at close range with (close to) wide open aperture isn’t easy.
In other words: quite a few of my slides could have been good shots, but they are just not sharp where they need to be… 🙁
I’ve seen a few that I’m really happy with, though; I will show you in the coming updates!
Other news: still working on renewing the site (moving from Pixelpost to WordPress). I have a demo running locally, I’m happy with that one; now I just need the time to install, set-up and tweak the same “in production”. All in good time…
Details for the whole set of “roodharigendag 2011”: Bessa R3M, Fuji Astia 100F, either Voigtlaender 40mm or Leica 90mm lens

Remind me again: you were pondering if the Bessa's rangefinder is actually aligned correctly?
Have you looked into it in more detail?
Did I mention the picture really reminds me of Donna, from that 70's show?
Oh no, I didn't. Well, it does!
Regardless of that: nice light, and I also like the colors.
It has that sort of 70's look, now that you mention it. Must be the soft (not too in-your-face) colours.
Was I pondering the alignment of the Bessa? I think it's fine, but at f/1.4 or 1.8 or 2 or 2.5 and with the focussing at close range, there's not much margin for error. User error. Move ever so slightly and the subject is out of focus.
Live and learn, they say. Next year I think I'll take the SLR or the TLR…
